Engineering Detailed of WTP Burgos (Spain)

DESCRIPTION:

Extension of the treatment of the WTP and the General Collector of Burgos and the Industrial Estate of Villalonquejar to expand the current treatment capacity and include the elimination of nutrients from both treatment lines by activated sludge, under criteria of maximization of the use of existing facilities, minimization of energy costs and simplification of operating tasks.

The sludge line is extended, adopting a pre-treatment of sludge prior to anaerobic digestion consisting of thermal hydrolysis. New units are included in the processes of sifting of sludge, thickening by gravity and flotation, anaerobic digestion, buffer reservoir of digested sludge, dehydration and sludge storage hoppers.
